fhána - 星屑のインターリュード (Hoshikuzu no Interlude / Stardust Interlude)

I love how ‘matte’ her voice sounds.

Clean ending song, even with the bit of mess that is everything after the second chorus.

Waiting for the fourth ship to be announced at the end of this month.

tfw LSC trauma and will get Yamato anyway

Skeleton Teitoku.

1.

[The new admiral is coming today.]

[I wonder what kind of person he will be?
Middle-aged? Young? Perhaps a lady? Dog? Just maybe, someone cool!] (Kya~!)

«Excuse me, young lady»

[He’s here!]

Yes~?

2.

«Might this be where…»

«The 666th Hitokappu Base is?»

(Girl is buffering…)

3.

N-,
NOOOOO!!!

«Shibaffu

(Please wait a moment…)

I apologize for the rudeness earlier.
(*downhearted*)

4.

«Raise your head, please.»

«Everyone makes mistakes.»
«Rather than that…»

«Are you Samidare?»
«I am the new admiral, Honehara.»
«I may look like this, but let’s get along.»

Y-,

[He doesn’t seem like a bad person.]

Yes sir!!!
I am Samidare!

- The Admiral has arrived at the naval base. -

asks:
where did you get your nagi no asukara earth color book from?

Special order from the local anime shop that happened to be able to get me one.

凪のあすから FINAL PV

Last NagiAsu post, I promise. Probably.

凪のあすから ビジュアルブック ~Earth color~

(Something to tide me over until non-exclusive concept art prints appear.)

Obligatory filtered photo. Finally done reading the text-heavy parts of this book (series overview and staff interview), though I skipped the episode descriptions in favour of the producer’s highlighted scenes.
Visuals are previously published works (magazine and web, even some of the promo stands), so most should be accessible one way or another. The cover though is exclusive and is sweet as hell.
Anyways, not a super content-centric publication, but some interesting points from the interview nonetheless:

Hikari/Manaka was determined to be canon the moment Miuna is decided to play a major role in the second cour.
(Details about Manaka’s confused feelings, to the point where her VA isn’t sure how to voice a few of her lines)
Higher reception from female viewers than expected.
Cast doesn’t ‘squarely fit anime character archetypes’, at least not intended to. Point on Hikari’s growth.
Hikari - Miuna - Manaka dynamic factored in the decision for the hibernation twist at the season cliffhanger.
Miuna’s well-kept emotions contrast with Manaka’s lost feelings and Chisaki’s change of heart over the five years.
Sayu’s confession scene has elements of realism compared with what usually happens in anime.
Series as a whole put effort into recreating the feeling of ‘the anime you watched during childhood’, without offending possible aspects of a grown-up taste.
Staff enjoyed working on the show rather well, compared to similarly-themed works (Iroha, RDG mentioned).
I’m sure I missed some of the details concerning the points above or got some of them wrong. Sorry about that, but it was a pretty nice read either way.
